PRP at Sculpt! -Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a form of blood plasma that has been enriched with platelets and growth factors. Platelets are tiny cell fragments that stop bleeding and bruising and contain growth factors and natural substances that encourage cellular growth and stimulate healing. PRP augments an increase in volume of hair and contains at least 8 growth factors that will be over a period of time, continually work as a rejuvenating agent.

PRP contains special cells called Platelets, that cause growth of the hair follicles by stimulating the stem cells and other cells in the microenvironment of the hair follicle. These special Platelet cells promote healing, accelerates the rate and degree of tissue healing and regeneration, responds to injury, and formation of new cellular growth. The primary purpose of using PRP in hair restoration is to stimulate inactive or newly implanted hair follicles into an active growth phase. It is highly recommended post a hair transplant to help newly implanted follicles gain strength and grow faster.

It is a simple lunch time procedure with zero downtime though results vary from person to person.

What is the procedure?

Minimally invasive procedure. A lunchtime procedure, with no downtime required.

Derma Roller - Scalp

Derma roller is an instrument that consists of a handle and a roller which is studded with very fine needles. The length of these needles varies from 0.5 mm to 2.5mm. The Derma roller is rolled across the affected area with a minimal pressure. The needles penetrate the skin creating tiny punctures of varying depths depending on the length of needles. The process is done till fine bleeding points are seen. The physical damage done by puncturing the Epidermis and Dermis causes an inflammatory tissue reaction to repair the damage. The inflammatory reaction stimulates the Dermal Fibroblasts to activate follicles. Derma rollers on the scalp help stimulate reactivation of hair growth cycle resulting in better hair growth and facilitate hair fall reduction. It is highly recommended to take repeat sessions in a gap of 20-30 days for best results.

Erythema of the skin:

Pre-existing Inflammation of skin may worsen with Dermaroller.

Eczematous Dermatitis [oozing skin]:

On the face due to Contact Allergic & Irritant Dermatitis.

Active Acne Vulgaris:

Especially pustular Acne as derma roller will cause aggravation of Acne infection

Growths on skin:

If there are benign & malignant skin lesions, derma roller must not be done on the lesion till the Doctor confirms the diagnosis and treatment, and advises to proceed with the procedure. Special care must be taken by the Doctor to rule out Vascular and Malignant lesions.

HIV & Hepatitis Patients:

Are advised not to take Derma Roller treatment.

Derma roller is not dangerous during pregnancy but best avoided.

Blood bleeding & clotting disorders:

Clients with history of bleeding disorders, causing excessive bleeding when injured must not be taken for Derma rollers without Doctor’s consent and supervision. Bleeding disorders may be intrinsic or caused due to drugs such as Aspirin or Warfarin.

Herpes Simplex active lesions on the treated area:

Derma rollers can spread Herpetic infection if the client has active lesions. Hence if the client has an active lesion, postpone till Herpes heals.

The Proof?

We measure you both before the session, and after the session. Most women are pleasantly surprised (and delighted!) to see the loss of upto 1-4 cm's in the area targeted after their session.
